What the analytics collect

Nothing. There are no analytics running on this site at all.

What the forms collect

Form	Collected	Kept
Contact	Name, email, message	Until the conversation is finished, then deleted
Interview	Name, email, street, how long you’ve lived there	Until the interview happens, or you ask me to delete it
Street Card	Street, name, postal address, email	The postal address is deleted 60 days after the card is posted. It is used once, to post a card.
Consent withdrawal	Your name, the page, email	Kept as a record that you asked and that I acted

Nothing collected by a form is ever used for anything else, sold, or shared. There is no marketing list behind any of them.

The newsletter

Signing up is a separate, deliberate act. A single unticked checkbox, never bundled with anything else, and confirmed by a link in an email before anything is sent. Every message carries a working unsubscribe that takes effect immediately. The list is used for the project newsletter and nothing else, ever.

Photographs

Photographs are taken in public places, from public property. Buildings are documented as found. If you appear in a photograph, by face or voice or name, it's because you said yes on the day. I ask first and I don't photograph people who'd rather I didn't.

If something published here puts your safety at risk, email me and I'll take it down the same day. I won't ask you to explain or prove anything. That's the one thing I'll always move fast on.

Asking what’s held, or having it deleted

Write to hello@the158.ca and I’ll tell you what I have and delete it on request, within 14 days.
